How to tell your personal story

Christopher Singh of Radio Worldwide talks about telling your personal story, particularly using social media. Filmed at the Africa by Radio conference in 2015.

Following on from his introduction to citizen journalism, Christopher Singh talks about how to tell your personal story, particularly through social media.

We’re all curious about others, so people are interested to hear your story. If what is going on in your life could be helpful to others, Christopher says, we have a responsibility and a duty to share that with others. It can be a big encouragement to them, and prompt them to share their story with others.

Make it personal, include details – what, where, when, why and how – and make it pictorial as that makes the story come alive for people.
